• Have you attended training that you have felt has really helped you in your career?

"Yes – so far the certificates and short courses I have completed have helped me in my job role in some capacity, whether by refreshing and enhancing skills I already had, teaching me new skills altogether, or by making me more aware of other aspects involved in my role, the business and the industry that I didn’t think too much about before."

• What have you taken away from your study with us?

"I have taken away new skills that can be utilised in my job role, many of which have already began to be implemented in the day-to-day processes. It also brings more awareness to areas that I didn’t have knowledge of, or lacked in areas previously, so it gives me a better understanding of what goes on and why some things occur or work the way they do."

• How did you find the process? Classrooms, experience etc.

"Due to my work schedule, I was unable to attend classroom sessions, but was allowed to complete my qualification externally through correspondence. This ended up still accommodating to my work schedule, as I could study and apply what I was learning in real time at my workplace, while still having the assistance from Gramac when needed during the completion of each unit. I am thankful that Gramac provided support and guidance throughout my study, and allowed for additional support and time to get through later units when work responsibilities became overwhelming or consumed some of my normal study time – this helped reduced stress and worry around completion deadlines, as they understood and accommodated to my changing work circumstances."

"My assessor, Karen, was very helpful in providing opportunities to ask questions and seek assistance on areas I was struggling with. She was clear and informative when giving notes on areas that needed revising, and gave great praise when units were completed or were found to be of a more thorough standard. She also allowed for extra support during times when work overtook much of my study time, and was very reassuring when it came to the completion and work involved in the last few units."

I found my training has helped me progress in my work environment, and my newly completed qualification allows me to take on more work opportunities and duties, so taking on a course or study in order to upskill is a great idea."
